We recently received a use case from one of our customers: they connected the Audio Out port of their IP camera to the Audio In port of our IP Horn Speaker SIP-S21H to play real-time audio from the camera through the speaker. This is a practical application for surveillance and public warning systems, allowing users to monitor and broadcast live audio captured by IP cameras.

Using the Audio In Port for Real-Time Playback
If you want the speaker to play the live audio from another device, such as an IP camera, through the Audio In port, there’s a key setting that needs to be configured in the speaker's web interface.
Here's how to do it:

Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the IP Horn Speaker.

Navigate to the Audio Settings section.

Find the option labeled "Amplifier Auto Off".

By default, this setting is YES.

To allow real-time audio input playback, change it to NO.
This ensures that the speaker's amplifier stays on and can play the incoming audio signal immediately without delay.
Alarm In Function
Additionally, the Alarm In port can be used to trigger the speaker to broadcast a live alert or a stored warning message. This makes the SIP-S21H/S21M ideal for emergency response and automated announcement systems.
